John Blesso was born in Paterson, New Jersey. After receiving useless B.A.’s in English and French from the University of Connecticut, he spent two years in Paris where he performed The Un-Hollywood Ending, a one-man show. From 1995 to 2000 he served as the managing editor of the Authors Guild Bulletin. In 2004, he established the Chance beach house in Kismet, Fire Island. In 2005, Chance was featured in New York Magazine. In 2006, John Blesso was not awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. In 2008, he created Chance Dinners.
